The Anti-Inflammatory Meal Plan for Busy Women
Chronic, low-grade inflammation has been linked to fatigue, brain fog, joint stiffness, and a long list of things that make ordinary life harder than it needs to be. The good news: you don't need an elaborate protocol to calm it down. You need a handful of repeatable meals built around ingredients that work in your favour.
The principles, not the perfection
- Colour on the plate. Aim for at least three different coloured vegetables or fruits per meal.
- Swap refined for whole. White rice becomes brown rice or quinoa; white bread becomes sourdough or whole grain.
- Healthy fats, daily. Olive oil, avocado, nuts, seeds, and oily fish like salmon.
- Sugar as a guest, not a resident. Reserve added sugar for occasional treats, not daily background noise.
A simple 3-day starting rhythm
Breakfast: Overnight oats with berries and almond butter, or a green smoothie bowl.
Lunch: A big salad with a protein (chickpeas, grilled chicken, or salmon), olive oil, and a whole grain.
Dinner: Herb-crusted baked salmon with greens, or a vegetable-forward stir fry with brown rice.
Snacks: No-bake cacao energy balls or a handful of nuts with fruit.
